Lakes & temple ponds

Still water bodies turn green and foul when the bottom layer runs out of oxygen. Sludge releases nutrients, algae bloom, fish die and the water smells. Oxygenating the whole water column, as part of a site-specific restoration plan, reverses that cycle.

Where it is used
  • Four pond sites in an Indian rejuvenation study
  • A 1.3-acre residential lake in Bonita Springs, Florida
  • Seabed restoration in Yokohama, Japan
How it works here

Oxygen at the bottom stops sludge from releasing phosphorus and hydrogen sulphide, which feed algae and cause odour.

Aerobic bacteria break down organic sludge faster when oxygen is available.

Nano bubbles spread oxygen through deep, still water without needing large surface aerators.

Algae control in a residential lake

Bonita Springs, Florida · 2018

  • 1.3-acre, 8 ft deep lake with persistent algae; algaecides were stopped for the test
  • Dissolved oxygen near the bottom rose by over 50%
  • No visible surface algae within two weeks, for the four-month test

Using Oxynity

How we set it up for lakes & temple ponds

  1. Survey the water body first: area, depth, inflows and sludge depth
  2. Place the generator on the bank and run the outlet line to the deepest zone
  3. Combine with reducing sewage inflow for lasting results
  4. The 5.5 HP model suits larger temple tanks and lakes; small ponds can use 1.5 HP or 4 HP

Good to know: Water body restoration is site-specific. The Indian study used ozone nanobubbles; Oxynity runs on air or oxygen, and the plan is designed around each site.
